Career Preparations

Career Preparation and Financial Planning

Career Preparation is a required class for students participating in the school work program. This class serves as a capstone class to ensure student success in their work. This class teaches students work etiquette so that students can be successful in the work force. Resume, interview skills, applications, references, personal finance, career investigation, technology and organizational skills are just a few of the numerous topics that we will cover in class. Each student must be employed within 15 days of entering class or be removed from the class.  The work program enables students to go to work earlier so that they do not have to work so late. Scheduled and unscheduled visits will be made to the students place of employment to ensure that students are working satisfactorly and so that I can keep a direct line of communication with the employer. Students will be required to keep necessary paperwork to improve the relevance of the class.
