District Cross Country

After a weather delay from Monday, October 8, the district cross country meet took place on Tuesday, October 9 with Varsity girls and boys running at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. The Idalou Wildcats had a great boys team representing Idalou HS with results of Hagen Sage 4^th place, Gregory Martinez 5^th place, and Luis Rodelas Ponce 6^th place, making the team place in 3^rd.  Also on the Lady Cats side, Madelyn Merrell placed 2^nd and Alayna Whittle 10^th, all advancing to the regional meet on Monday, October 22, in Lubbock at Mae Simmons again.

JV and Junior High boys and girls competed on Wednesday, October 10, and came away with medals as well.  JH Girls placed 1^st and were crowned District Champions.  Individuals for the JH girls were 1^st place Neveah Cortez, other top tens were Keirsten Keinast, Katelyn Turner, and Logan Heard.  In the Boys division, the team placed 3^rd overall and individuals were D.J. Cortez 2^nd place, and other top tens included Jacob Bankston.
