About Michael Collins

My name is Michael Collins and I am an Agricultural Science Teacher at Idalou High School.  I became an Ag Science Teacher because I have a love and respect for American Agriculture and what it does for our nation.  Our young people need to understand the importance of the Agriculture Industry in the United States.  Experts beleive that in the next 40 years our worlds population is going to grow to over 9 billion people.  Consequently, there is going to be more food and clothing produced in the next 40 years as has been produced in the history of mankind.  Agriculture holds the key to the problems that we will experience and will be even more important than ever before.  I hope I can pass on my passion for this industry to my students.
