About Meredith Fowler

I am excited to  be teaching economics, government, and world geography this year!

I am the Student Council sponsor, as well as the coach of UIL Informative Speaking, Persuasive Speaking, and Social Studies.

This is my 18th year in Idalou and 23rd year overall in education. I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in AgEconomics and received my teaching certification from Texas Tech.  After growing up in Pecos, Texas, it was nice to return to west Texas after college, although a piece of my heart is still on the Brazos River.

I love teaching social studies and opening up kids' eyes to history, cultures, & diversity outside of our bubble in Idalou, America.  I also am a passionate Texas Aggie, Texas Rangers fan, and enjoy spending free time tending to my two llamas-Harley & Dottie, as well as our cats, cows, and dogs, and hunting, fishing, hiking, & golfing with my husband John.
