    Duties:

    Teaching and providing effective instruction in the elementary level; enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society; maintain orderly classroom; knowledge of core academic subject assigned; general knowledge of curriculum and instruction; strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

     

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university; valid Texas teacher certificate with required endorsements for subject level assigned, preferably a generalist.  Proficient with technology.

    Idalou ISD is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Boys’ Coach to join our team of educators and coaches. We are proud of our strong tradition of excellence in both academics and athletics. The ideal candidate will bring passion, leadership, and a positive presence to our girls’ athletic program.

    Coaching Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

    Teaching Certification Requirements:
    Applicants must hold a valid Texas teaching certification in one of the following areas:

    • Coaching Football, Basketball & Track (and/or best fit)

      • Assisting with athletic program development and growth

      • Promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and school pride

      • Collaborating with fellow coaches and school staff for student success

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Science

      • History

      • RLA

        • Math

        • Generalist (Grades 4–8)
