“ Each morning, in the elementary, the announcements are concluded with our Wildcat pledge, “We are, ONE team, ONE family, ONE school, ONE! …and be the good!” This is a pledge that our teachers and staff take to heart daily. The collaborative efforts of the adults in our building, much like a well-coordinated orchestra, create a strong and unified community of educators. My kindergarten teammates are knowledgeable, caring, and demonstrate their selflessness daily with their students.  Our speech pathologist, OT, and school psychologist are a delight to collaborate with always sharing their vast knowledge and ensuring each student’s needs are fully met. Our school family is genuinely in the business of growing hearts and minds, and I am so honored to be a part of the Idalou school family. “

“Idalou is a school district that I feel extremely proud to work. The faculty, administration, support staff, and students all come together to make Idalou the ideal place to work and send my children to school.”

“When I came to Idalou ISD, I quickly realized that I wasn’t just another employee — I became part of a family. Over the past ten years, I’ve had the privilege of being mentored by some of the most dedicated and talented educators around. The support, encouragement, and collaboration I’ve experienced here have helped me grow not only as a teacher but as a person. At Idalou, we live by 'The Wildcat Way' — a motto that goes far beyond the classroom. It reflects the heart of our school and the strength of the community that surrounds it. Being a Wildcat means being part of something bigger, and I’m proud to call this place home."

“ For over 30 years, I've had the privilege of teaching at Idalou Middle School.  My favorite part of teaching here is definitely our students. They work hard to uphold the tradition of excellence that runs deep in this tight knit community.  I'm also fortunate to have campus administrators who value my perspective, listen to my concerns, and offer support when needed. As a trusted professional, I’m given the autonomy to make decisions in my classroom that best serve my students. There is no better place to teach! “
